I bought this cable to obtain the Female TRRS socket. I cut the cable and joined the Female 3.5mm TRRS to 2x Male 3.5mm TRS connectors to make a headphone TRRS to TRS Stereo & Mic Splitter Cable. I can now use the TRRS headphones I bought from PB Tech to liste n or talk on my Tower or Notebook computers.

Tried using these to extend the cable from headphones to soundcard and sound was noticeably degraded (less detail, narrowed sound stage)
Seems to be a good quality braided cable, but very thin and light. So possibly just not enough material to carry a high quality signal?
