We started working from home just months before covid it was such a novelty before most folk had to work from home. But we really needed decent PCs that are fast.
I'm a stealth shopper, am not quite a technophobe, but skidding across the surface of technophobia. Why must it all change when I only just caught up?
Anyways I gave Rovi one of the team at PBtech Wellington a very brief, brief of what we wanted for our advertising team who work from home in different NZ locations. I knew we needed fast processing and start up and CPU - whatever the that means - I just know that apparently, it's important. I explained to Rovi that we like pretty and white is atheistically pleasing, but we intensely dislike wires. Pretty poor brief, right?
Rovi recommended the ASUS Zen AiO.
I've never been tempted to write a review on a PC, whoops ‘all in one’. But this slimline and sleek piece of kit is amazing. Firstly, it’s so easy to set up. Secondly it feels like I’m in my own wee club, listening to Solomun's mixes on Spotify through the incredibly crisp Harman Kardon speaker. My work productivity has increased, because I can play the music I like loudly through the pc without that awful tinny sound and work like a happy mofo.
This baby starts up fast. I'm like wowzas. And it’s so quiet! No noise whatsoever! The single screen breaks up into tiles on the same screen. Which is fab, but hey I like two big screens, so the only addition I've made is to add a second MSI Modern MD241PW 24" Full HD, which was easy to set up too.
Love the wireless keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is a delight to use, and I manage to touch type with our looking! It just feels nice under the fingertips.
I wondered if a woman designed the ASUS Zen AiO - or perhaps it’s it the younger generations’ industrial design, showing that things can improve and feel so much better.
Anyways in a nutshell the team love the design and function of the ASUS Zen AiO – we couldn’t be happier.
Oh yeah, there's a build in webcam you can a privacy screen over the lens. It's about time I had a camera for these zoom meetings aye? Just remember that it's there - and best not get caught in our uniform of the late couple of years - pjs. Delicious.
