Fitbit Inspire is great for beginners. It can track different activities, presumably some different settings for each. It tracks heart rate and gives sleeping stats. For exercises, it shows zone minutes, heart rate and calories burnt.
I found that it counts laps perfectly during the pool swims, but it’s not designed for ocean swims. The pool length can be set on the watch before the swim in case if it’s not the standard length.

I bought it to wear in a clip on a body, so it only count steps, as I don’t want to wear it as a watch all the time, only during the exercises. The clip is not included though, had to buy it separately.

I had the Inspire 2 for 2 years and it's still working. The battery discharge became a little unpredictable, so I decided to upgrade to the Inspire 3. The watch user interface has improved. I especially like that you can now receive SMS text messages as well as WhatsApp messages on Inspire 3. The Inspire 3 charging cable has greatly improved because in the Inspire 2, the cable kept falling off and you couldn't tell if the connection was good. I've had it for 2 weeks now and the battery life is currently about 1 week. Maybe the 10 days battery life they promised is when you don't have any vibration alerts on.
