After a bit of back and forth, the unit was returned for assessment. I got regular progress updates, and (most surprisingly) a replacement (not repaired) unit.
Would I recommend PB Tech to someone else? Definitely.

And it was definitely a tricky request on my part. I wouldn't usually try my luck with the request I had with other retailers but know PBT to be rather reasonable with their customers which has been proven again with this experience. Thanks Jaxon!
