I was using this as a solution to get my 60fps 1080p webcam to my spa room for a 'Hot Tub Stream' on Twitch in the hopes showing some skin would find me Internet fame.

Sadly I still have to keep my day job, as the male gaze of twitch didn't much care for my visual display, and save breaching TOS, I did everything in my power to entice this.

On the plus side, the cable did a great job delivering USB 3.0 speeds over 10 metres from my PC inside, to the hot tub room outside my house, a great test of its capability.

The only con I can think of is that it has an aluminium 'box' halfway down the cable, presumably to amplify the signal? This may be a frustration for consumers.

Generally, with the Hero8 and a shorter USB cable, the battery is not required - as it can power itself from the usb. But it's not quite powerful enough over the 10m length. The battery runs for about 3-3.5 hours before requiring a change. Works as expected with the webcam I tested.
