ANKER Prime 27650mAh (250W) PD 3.1 Power Bank - Black

After a bit of research and reading reviews, decided on this power bank. As mentioned elsewhere, it's quite hefty but will replace the two 'ordinary' powerbanks I take on holiday. I also purchased the charging base and was a little worried when the powerbank didn't turn on or show any signs of life when I put ut onto the base. It turns out that if the powerbank is completely flat, you need to use the USB C cable to get a few percent of charge into the power bank. It turns out that if the powerbank is completely flat, you need to use the USB C cable to get a few percent of charge into the power bank. Once that was sorted, I was able to get it fully charged fairly quickly on the 100W base. While that was going on, I tried pairing it with bluetooth, only to find out I needed. to install the app first. From thereon in, it was all go. The app communicates using bluetooth and provides a quick and easy readout of what is happening - the charging rate, how long until it is charged, and when it is used to charge devices, there is a readout of the power and voltage from each of the connected ports.
The first thing I tried was an iPhone 16. No problems. Next was a Macbook Air M4, which was charged much quicker than using a 70W charger.
I have no regrets buying this 27650 mAh Powerbank and 100W Base charger. It's a little pricey but well worth the investment in two high quality products. If you can afford it, I recommend this as a Powerbank for phones and modern laptops. If "She who must be obeyed" allows, I might even buy another one for her.

This power bank is great for keeping your stuff charged on the go. Massive capacity, with a screen that keeps you informed of the wattage your devices are using. Charges really fast too. The only complaint I would have would be the instructions are a little unclear about what the trickle charge mode is about. I honestly thought there was something wrong, until I searched and found the info on Ankers web site. Overall though I would recommend tis power bank to anyone. Bought this when I returned a cheaper faulty power bank of similar spec.

High quality, built like a solid block and weighs in at about 650g. It's on the heavier side, but for the specs it's passable. Not the best form factor, but reliable. It's feature-packed with very high capacity. It recharges fast and can charge high-power devices quickly. No other power bank can reach the performance this provides. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw PB stock this particular powerbank, I was looking at the Anker 737 140W powerbank in NZ and it was difficult and expensive. Never would I imagine I could actually purchase the Anker Prime 27650 in NZ, and for a reasonable price.

Will test out the dual input feature the next time I need to recharge the powerbank.

All in all, very happy with the purchase so far, highly recommend it if you have the dosh to get one.

An update to my review - I recently changed to a OnePlus 13 and surprisingly found out this powerbank supports 65W SuperVOOC on the USB-A port.

Can confirm the 65W SuperVOOC does work - awesome, even more worth the money I paid for it.

This powerbank feels like a premium product and comes with a bag as well. Due to the large capacity, this is heavy at half a kilo so make sure you can deal with the weight on your travel. For air travel, this powerbank is rated at 74Wh so it is below the limit of 100Wh of most airlines (e.g. Air New Zealand). More than enough capacity to get you by when batteries run low at the worst time, but small and light enough that you don’t mind carrying it around “just in case”. Top of the line power management features and a very cool screen that tells you everything you need to know. Estimated time remaining is very useful. This powerbank is not cheap but it is awesome. It delivers everything this is promised in the specs and description. It easily powers my Surface Pro and phone at the same time, and being able to charge the bank with two USB C inputs at a time means it reaches full capacity is great time. Got this today to use with my Lenovo Legion Go, and not be limited by its battery. Played almost two hours with the power bank plugged in, and the max 30W TDP the Legion has! Lasted almost two hours without even touching the Legions battery! This effectively gives you over 3 hours of play time on the go, couldn't be happier with this purchase. I recommend this to anyone who wants the best. Has a nice OLED display, an app that communicates with the power bank over Bluetooth! and it has a carry pouch. Quite expensive, but well worth the money.
