TP-Link Tapo P110 Mini Smart Wi-Fi Plug with Energy Monitoring

Combined with Tapo Hub and the Tapo app, these are great devices. So far I've used them to plug in a heater and a television and use them for monitoring energy consumption. Planning to purchase more to monitor other appliances. Had hoped to control heaters over wifi in combination with Tapo temperature sensors however found the manufacturer of the heater I have states in its manual that the heater should not be plugged into timer/switching devices. We have free power from 9 PM to 12 AM, so I connected one to a fan heater that automatically switches on and off daily, keeping our bedroom warm and ready for us. The other one is used for a lamp that I direct towards plants that don't get enough morning light. It also works like a remote switch when we need light in the middle of the night.

These are my first smart plugs, and I'm loving them. I'm using them on heaters so I can turn them on and off remotely, and see how much power they're using, and how much they're costing to run! The more recent software for these things makes set-up relatively stress free. It plays nice with the other sensors in the Tapo ecosystem. I had a server crash when away from home and the family were in bed, no way to restart it. I bought this in case the same happened again. Easy to pair with phone and ipad, perfect for the job in mind. The power monitoring feature is a bonus, interesting but probably not that useful. Again. Easy to setup. This being a Wi-Fi plug you need to find it with you phone first then install it and do any firmware updates.
Then just follow the wizard along the yellow brick road. Don't take the offered sweets and be good.
Assign it to the closest HUB and your done. Everything else is now able to be setup in the app.
I'm using a couple of motion sensors to turn this on to power a bunch of super bright LED flood lights.
LEDs that don't have a huge power draw that could potentially burn the power point out, but equally as bright as something bigger.

Really nice and very helpful especially right now i need to set Christmas lights auto on/off.

But it stopped working after a few days and returned the device to be checked and replaced. I just hope I have a faulty item. The power reading has daily fixed price or dynamic 3set by hour (peak,offpeak,night rates).

Works perfectly, either with the TP-Link app, or via Homebridge into the Apple Home app for 'Hey Siri' purposes. I have 3 of these now, would definitely recommend. I purchased two of these, and they were fine for nearly three months. However, one of them started rapidly switching on and off, which seems to be a common issue based on my research.
