I bought this to be part of a gaming PC where the GPU can be a later addition. Though I'm not sure I'll end up getting a GPU because the integrated graphics are good enough to do 1080p gaming at low to medium settings in dirt rally and higher settings in less demanding games. I was using a Ryzen 5 3500X processor, and recently replaced that with the Ryzen 5 5600G... Was doing hardware troubleshooting, and since this has integrated GPU, it worked great for testing my GPU at the same time... To my surprise I've found the 5600G processor, which works on PCI-E 3.0 speeds as a much better CPU than Ryzen 5 3500X, which was working on 4.0 speeds. This processor has higher clock speeds and 12 threads... I have a dedicated monitor running AIDA dashboard all the time... the CPU usage on this processor is much lower than the 4.0 CPU was doing... !!! I upgraded from a ryzen 5 3600 with a gt 1030 in a fully passive pc, the 5600G scores higher in geekbench than the 3600, runs a decent amount cooler than the 3600, and is roughly 30% faster than the gt 1030 while playing doom on Linux, plus its cheaper than the gt 1030 and 3600. If you need a cheap gaming PC without being extorted by GPU prices, this is what you are looking for.

I originally bought for my son's PC with the hope to upgrade him to an entry level GPU in the next 3-4 months but after seeing the performance I dont think I will bother. Im jealous because Im only running a Ryzen 3600.
Fortnight at 1080p on Medium-Medium High settings at a constant 60fps which was a huge surprise tbh.

I highly reccomend the Deepcool AS500 Plus CPU cooler. Keeps the GPU at 58deg during gaming with fans at low RPM. Since you wont need a $500-$1000 GPU you can invest towards quality other parts in the system If you need a cheap gaming PC without being extorted by GPU prices, this is what you are looking for.

Working out great in my 3.3litre htpc build under the TV. Small form factor and no need for extra graphics card. Runs everything I need and some light video editing in davinci resolve.

With gpu prices where they are this is a nice substitute when building a lower end rig that can still game on or while planning a future gpu upgrade.
