Great Purchase for Something That Gets the Job Done Well
Had this for nearly a month, and even though I've used it sparingly it has come in real handy when I did. Reads fine, really quiet, cool idea to have the discs clip in. I've had no issues so far. Only downsides I can see are that, personally, the cable is too short, and it uses USB 2.0, though I haven't noticed any slow speeds. Great purchase for something that gets the job done well.
Do not buy unless you want to spend another $140
Very disappointed to find that the provided software is now outdated and 80% of the features are locked behind a annual annual subscriptions that is 140nzd a year. resulting in trying to download third part software just to use it zero stars

Does the job, but it requires a miniusb cable (not microusb), which is an interesting choice in 2025.
It's also quite loud - I remember the era when every computer had a CD/DVD drive and it's louder than most of those by a wee bit.

Great little reader/writer, super light weight.
USB powered DVD drive in a compact case
Slimline DVD drive. Works as it should. Has a wee whine to it when reading discs that is quite audible. Happy enough, especially as I got an open-box unit at a good discount.
