It gets pretty hot, but it should be fine.
You also have to set up the SSD, but it's pretty easy if you know what your doing.
Little bit worried about the cover sliding off in my bag.

I have numerous M.2 enclosures and these are my favourite.
They are solid, have a built in heatsink and retain the M.2 drive securely.

Unfortunately only got 5Gbps (660 MB/s) even though connected via Type-C to Type-C cable to a Type-C USB 3.2 Gen2x2 port with a 5000 MB/s read speed internal drive and 2400 MB/s write speed drive set up in the Orico enclosure. Fails to operate in UASP mode.
Transfers max out at 83 MB/s, and frequently locks up. Its a brick.

Unlike other enclosures this can be used to BOOT both MACs and PCs.
I spent many hours unsuccessfully trying to set up an external boot drive, for an old iMAC, using a proprietry WD external USB-C drive.
Switched to this Orico enclosure and the iMAC's old drive cloned perfectly booting first try!
It is very fast if correct cable and port is used.
The price is an amazingly good deal for what you get.
Great for backups, upgrading NVMe drives, etc.

Get a decent speed from a Raspberry Pi 5 faster than a SATA SSD. Currently using an older M2 SSD but seems good.
