Crucial BX500 500GB 2.5" Internal SSD

Needed to update my computer with a new hard drive, so want and got this one.

Plugged it into the internal SATA cable, turned on the computer and sorted it out in no time. Been in place for 2 weeks now no issues.

Bought this to replace the HD in the PS4 Pro, which had completely died. It’s been three weeks now and the PlayStation is super quick and quiet now, and I had zero issues getting everything up and running. Really pleased with how well it’s worked! My existing PS4 Pro 1TB SATA had failed so was looking for a replacement SSD, this drive was the recommended budget option in a Techradar PS4 upgrade article. As far as the PS4 goes, it was a very straight forward process to physically install and load the firmware etc. Very happy with the improvement in game load times compare to the old Sata and hits the mark for me personally in terms of balancing capacity, performance and price.

This review is about 1 month after purchase, no issues experienced so far. Even though longevity could theoretically be less than an HDD (I've actually found it to be the opposite - I haven't had a great run of HDD's lasting over the years), they're so cheap that the performance benefit makes it a no brainer.

This one in particular was put into a 2013 MacBook Pro, which is still kicking pretty comfortably!
