Great value, and only slightly less performance than more expensive brands
I recommend the BX500 to many of my customers who are looking at upgrading an old Laptop to an SSD, or doing a Desktop build on a budget. It isn't necessary to spend the extra $50+ for other brands when this product performs almost as good.

The drive is fine but it's slow compared to Samsung SSD (850 EVO).

Unbeatable Value.
If you're trying to get past having an old mechanical hard drive, these are the perfect alternative. Though the speeds are incomparable to NVMe SSDs, the jump in performance from an HDD to this SSD is tremendous. Well worth the price paid!
This was used to replace my mother's dying HDD in her laptop and she has been incredibly happy with the performance bump.
