Crucial BX500 SSD has the specified write speed of up to 500 Mbps. However, this may apply to small transfers. When copying large files write speed is incredibly slow, even below 100 Mbps. Replaced the hard disk in an old laptop with this SSD and it made a significant performance difference. Nice that Crucial supply some free software to do the Cloning (Acronis True Image). SSD installs in the same SATA slot with no problems. Just had to get a couple of SATA to USB cables so I could do the cloning on a separate machine.

Crucial is used in all my development servers and they operate faultlessly. The prices from PBtech are always great too.
On another note, I recently had a problem with a set of USB Thumb drives that PBtech checked out and replaced no questions asked. That is typical of the service these folks provide and it is genuinely appreciated. I know that if I have any problems with this Crucial, they will be more than happy to help. Son wanted a part for his gaming pc, the shop assistant helped him with this part and hes happy with it. Done what he wanted it to do and is extremely happy. This is the second Crucial hard drive I have purchased now, and I can't fault either the quality or the value for money. These are seriously good hard drives in my opinion, really fast and haven't missed a beat so far. Recommend these.
