Seagate Expansion 2TB Portable External HDD - Black

Storage space is awesome, price not too bad.
Although, unable to have this external hard drive plugged in at all times, as when turning off my computer and trying to turn it back on - it will NOT work if the Seagate external hard drive is plugged in. Which means having to unplug, replug, unplug, replug and repeat of this nature. Slightly worrying considering this can cause corrupt data when continuously having to remove and insert, remove and insert constantly. Currently in communication to see if this is a natural occurance, or whether I have a faulty product. Storage space is awesome, price not too bad.

I had two of these HDDs, and both failed within a year. One of them was used for less than 6 months before it completely died, causing me to lose all my data. I spent a lot of money trying to recover the data, but even then, not everything was retrievable. This has been a devastating and costly experience. I bought this disk thinking the brand was reliable but it failed after 12 months, losing my files. I bought this disk thinking the brand was reliable but it failed after 12 months, losing my files.

I needed a large 2.5" sata drive which are hard to come by these days but fortunately I was able to rip this case apart and get the drive inside. Minimal damage to case, not that I plan to use the case. As a bonus I now have a USB to SATA converter I can stick on any naked drive to plug it into the computer.
