I have a different model (enclosure is different but same drive inside) of 2TB Seagate expansion drive, I used to have WD and its sata interface got screwed up and it stopped getting detected and I bought this one to replace it. I bought it and managed to get WD to run again and transfer the data. That was 2015-2016. And that’s it nothing more, just been sitting. I connected it yesterday and it’s dead!! Like what a piece of junk Seagate. The original WD still works!!! If I twist the front interface, it originally failed due to water getting in. But this one seagate just failed doing absolutely nothing!! I managed to make all my backups, but it is slow as expected for an HDD.
It could be a bit cheaper as for the double of the price, you can have a way faster drive with same capacity.
I also have read some reviews that this drive isn't that reliable, but I will take the risk.
