Olimpia Splendid AirPro 14 HP Portable Air Conditioner

I bought this portable air conditioning unit for my elderly Mother who finds it hard breathing on those hot muggy still days and nights. Picked it up from PBtech Westgate. My first time to one of PBtechs stores to collect the aircon unit. Fast collection with no hassles, was loaded in car by PBtech staff which I thought was a nice touch. Unboxed unit at home, fitted exhaust pipe to window sill, tested unit. There's going to be fan noise if it is shifting air rapidly. Very nice looking machine. I am very happy and I will see how it goes over this coming summer. Really, a super easy to set up and get started machine that does exactly what it says it will do. Works really well to chill our bedroom off and even tried it in the lounge and did a pretty good job at controlling humidity and bringing the temp down a few degrees.

It is, however, nearly too loud for me to tolerate for too long - and though out of desperate (hot) times we have tried and sort of succeeded for a few hours to sleep with it on… it’s pretty loud.

Bought before Christmas and have used for 2 months. Was great before, but after the humidity this week it really was amazing! Cools really well (28m2 lounge) but also dehumidifies - cannot recommend highly enough.
Quiet enough not to drown out TV. Easy to install, comes with vent kit - fitted outr tilt windows easily.
