Sennheiser HD 560S Open-Back Wired Over-Ear Headphones - Black

I'm far from being an audiophile but I could easily note the difference between this and the cheap nasty headphones I normally buy.

Others have noted these are initially tight on the head but I never found that. They are comfortable for long periods of time while gaming.

Being open backed means I can usually still pickup if the wife is trying to talk to me (could be a pro or con depending on your situation haha).

I was apprehensive about buying headphones of a more premium price range but I had found that for DJing (especially when at home practicing just using headphones) the on-ear style gets very uncomfortable for me so even if the quality is good the comfort just isn't there for any session longer than an hour. As a bonus, they also look very smart and not excessively bulky - the smooth curves of the design avoid the chunky look that many headphones suffer from.

Great value. I bought these to replace my HD595 which I've had for the last 20 years (still working by the way! just very worn). Got these a couple of years ago and they have been holding up great.

They sound great. I actually found the sound a little abrasive at first because I wasn't used to such a pronounced high end. I got over it and love them.
One thing to note is the cable is super long. It does get in the way slightly but I really don't mind. Would rather that than poor sound quality.
Build quality is pretty good. I wouldn't take them places without a case as you will probably scratch them like I did.

Mid range slightly recessed. Good clean bass down to the bottom of the bass guitar and fades somewhat below that. Top end is bright but clear. Overall the voicing is somewhat dark, especially compared to my ancient AKG K601's but to be fair the AKG phones were very much more expensive. The HD560 ,phones are clean even at high levels and it is easy to hear every note as played and to judge the intonation and to play along in tune. Build quality is good, but I suspect that my K601,s could give the HD560,s a 25 year head start and still come out ahead. Have only used these for a week or so. These are my first Sennheiser headphones so i've got nothing to compare them to, but these are quite simply an amazing pair of headphones with top notch sound quality.
