Good headphones Good headphones

I've owned these headphones for 18 months now. I love listening to stuff on them and the noise cancelling is great BUT I bought these with the intention of also using them in online meetings and phone calls and in that regard these are terrible, so much so I usually end up taking them off. Whenever the mic is involved it seems to pick up and amplify any background noise so the other party in the call or meeting usually complains, using mute can mitigate this but it's not always viable. These headphones are very comfortable to wear and the sound through them is fantastic.

I bought a pair of these a couple of years ago, and I've been pretty happy with how they performed. The sound is good, the noise cancelation is excellent, and they're very comfortable to wear.
Unfortunately, recently my pair suddenly stopped charging. Researching online it seems this is not an uncommon issue with these headphones. Some people have even claimed they were refused warranty because they didn't use the dinky little recharging cable that comes with them.
This isn't really good enough for an expensive piece of kit in my view, but I would have given them five stars otherwise. Had to buy new headphones as my last pair where lost.
Sent time researching headphones and decided on the sonys
Noise canceling is amazing so much better than my last headphones.
Very light weight
Touch controls can be hit and miss.
Still recommend highly to buy these

I like these better than the new XM5s. The XM5s have to be connected or playing music to have sound cancelling, the XM4s dont. In the end I had to choose between XM4s and BOSE QC45s. It was a hard decision. The QC45s have better basic buttons and are lighter, but can feel a bit loose on your head. In the end I choose the XM4s because the sound cancelling was a tiny bit better, but it was a 50/50 call. The battery on the XM4s lasts for ages. I like these better than the new XM5s.
