I love these so much. They’re so good for uni and just blocking everyone out, or studying at home and blocking everyone out. Sound quality is great and the noise cancelling works well even with nothing playing. I spent soo long thinking about whether or not I should buy them buy I am super glad I did. Really good pair of headphones. A friend ik suggested them and now 3-4 friends have these headphones and recommend them. They're quiet comfy, sound qualities good as well :)). I purchased these headphones in-store after Christmas and it was the best decision I have made in a long time.

These are perfect for what I need on walks, at the Gym, and especially on my walk to work.

The Noise canceling is outstanding and the features are all great, especially the speech auto shut-off which is great for walking with my partner for ease of use.

I was researching the best headphones worth the price and these XM4s always came up. Good quality sound and love the long battery life. These are worth the price but the real factor is if these last for a long time (5+ years) but I've only had them for a couple of weeks. I still have a lot to learn about the settings and stuff with the XM4s so my confusion with the settings and functionality is not a con but just laziness from reading the manual and stuff but the manual is easy to understand so good. However, these headphones do hurt the top of my head after 1hr+ of wearing so I do need a break after a bit. I was researching the best headphones worth the price and these XM4s always came up. Bought a pair of these 2 years ago from PBtech, and they still work and look fine. I don't use them very often, and don't travel with them, but they are permanently charging from my PC via a USB cable for when I need them. After two years, the ear padding is still in good condition, and Sony just released a Firmware update for them, (you can update them using the Sony mobile app), so they are still supported by Sony. The newer WH-1000XM5 is slightly better in all regards, (Improved Noise Cancelling, Sound Quality, Microphone and Bluetooth 3.1), but are not dramatically better if you want a cheaper option. These are great Headphones, with some cool options, tap the right ear to pause, swipe the right ear to raise or lower volume. They are managed via a mobile App from Sony, which allows you to configure the Noise Cancelling, and change a number of options, like stopping the auto turn off when removed. The app is also how you update the Firmware on the Headphones, which is automatic, and very easy. There is no PC version of the app that I could see though, so you do have to manage them with a Phone.

While the noise cancelling is superior on these, I absolutely hate them for being so buggy.
They are supposed to pause audio when I remove them, and turn off if not used for X amount of time.
They never do this and they stay on for 24 hours or so, finishing my audiobooks and my battery.
Even if i manually pause them before I take them off, they will randomly start playing again.
One might think that the gesture controls are overly sensitive to a slight touch, but they certainly aren't when using them, often requiring several taps to get it to pause or skip.
I'm going back to Sennheisers. While the noise cancelling is superior on these, I absolutely hate them for being so buggy.

after reading some of the one star reviews I felt compelled to review the pair I've owned for over two years. Very robust compared to Beats Studio 3 that often need the headband replaced due to a flimsy design. Also, I've never used the supplied charging cable, just whatever cable is on hand at the time and never had an issue with the battery. Still holds full charge. Still beats the Apple Air Max which are almost triple the price. These headphones really are a no brainer. The only downside is they are not a great gym headphone, for me anyway, when benching they'll slide off my head, whereas the Beats stay on after reading some of the one star reviews I felt compelled to review the pair I've owned for over two years.
