This is very good ram and works fine out of the box, have had no problems at all, also if you already have 8GB of this ram and have 2 slots left u can put this in and have 24, you will lose dual channel but that won't matter at all.

Great ram. I had some old 1333 12g ram and it was taking windows some time to boot, core temp monitoring software took ages to sync. Now it's just a flash on the screen after windows boots before I can even sit down. Its awesome. Gaming power is great.
