The product is average. I previously used the OfficeMax mat, and compared to that, the edges on this one don’t sit flat against the floor. At times, it can be a bit frustrating when my leg accidentally catches on it. The product is average. I got this chair mat 6 months ago, and it served me well. As expected from a pretty much plastic floor mat, it ended up breaking apart recently. I still have it actually lol but I'm clearly going to need to replace it in the near future.

Honestly, the only time I could recommend this is if 1-the weight of yourself + the chair combined isn't that much, because I feel like if you're on the more heavier side, this floor mat will not last you a few months; 2-You're just using it as a temporary floor mat if there's nothing else available to buy. I'm being kinda generous with saying 'using it as a *temporary* floor mat' as this floor mat is kind of pricey for what it offers to you as it may or may not last you a good while. If this wasn't so pricey for what it is I'd happily rate it 4stars just for being good enough and well priced, buuut it's a little pricey and can only really be recommended if you're using it as temporary protection or if the combined weight of you and your chair isn't a lot.

Ordered this online, and it came rolled up, the floor side on the outside, so it has taken a while for the mat to flatten out again. It seems to be working well now it's flat! The mat started to crack and break after about a month. It hasn't even been in use long enough for the corners to flatten out but has already become riddled with breakages. I was hoping they’d last a while, but the material just doesn’t seem durable enough for everyday use, even in a standard work-from-home environment.
While the price is low, the short lifespan makes it poor value in the long run.

In my experience, these studded PVC mats never last beyond a couple of years. So I buy based on price and these about are about the best deal going around. Size is ample you do not need bigger. This mat works best if: Your weight is under 70 kg (154 lbs). And you use a lightweight chair. I guess I have a medium pile carpet. It was a sunny day. Purchased this in Feb. Cracked and falling apart by May. Probably more appropriate for small children or the infirm.
