This mouse is the perfect balance of function and form. After getting one for my main rig I've since paid to have one at work, on the office PC, even spares in the event one eventually wears out.
The software G-Hub allows any customization to the buttons for macros, common Windows functions and more.
The G-Shift feature allows using the same buttons for something else while it's being held down, as well as activating 'sniper' mode.
Dedicated buttons to adjust DPI is great and once configured you barely have to visit the app unless you're creating complex macros, which I have used to automate repeatable tasks in excel and database tables.

This is a great mouse for the price, especially for beginners who might not know a lot about peripherals.

Perfect mouse for most gamers although it is considerably heavier than other mice, so if lightweight mice are your thing then I wouldn’t recommend this.

excellent mouse for gaming, the weight is ideal, the buttons are easy to manage, the tolerance of the wheel is perfect, the design fits well in the hand and the software is easy to understand, very intuitive.

I have owned this mouse for a little over a year now, had no problems with it at all, very responsive and has a good ergonomic feel to it, not to mention the RGB which is also great quality and easily customizable! Overall this is a great mouse, especially for the price, and honestly, from my experience I cant think of any cons. So i would definitely suggest this mouse to anyone looking for a solid gaming/workstation mouse. I was a bit sceptical about the mouse at first since it looked like it was too much and I was leaning towards an Alienware mouse but I'm thankful that I went with this one. There is a perfect amount of buttons and the RGB feels professional and not too heavy. The mouse fits perfectly in my hand and I love the unlocking scroll wheel feature. I would recommend this to all of those in the market, gamers and office. I don't have any cons about this and have been using this product for around a month now. This is my third G502 so far, it's still one of the best mice available. In terms of price, I don't believe that anything really beats the G502. It is very responsive, very comfortable, and in my opinion, the weight makes it easier to use. Logitech's GHUB program is not particularly great, but it is functional enough and I have never had any issues with it beyond UI. The weight of the mouse is, in my opinion, very comfortable, but it should be noted that it is on the heavy side even with all of the modular weights removed, so this may not be the greatest choice for someone who prefers lighter mice that glide easily. The buttons on the side of the mouse are easy to use comfortably and quite responsive. The biggest caveat to consider is that a few of the older models of this mouse had issues with the clicking mechanism which could lead to issues such as double-clicks or unresponsive clicks. This issue may still be here, and if so, you may get less usage of the mouse than is ideal.
