This docking station works brilliantly connecting up my 7 year old laptop to monitors and a wireless keyboard. As a new busienss, it is the prefect solution - means I can work easily without the cost of a new laptop at this point in time. This makes life so much easier for working with my tablet. Just hook it up and everything is connected as if I was using a desktop.

I've had issues with other non thunderbolt Type C (USB 3.1) docks not working with certain brands of laptops, went back to this USB 3.0 device and it works a treat.

I have used this on MSI, Gigabytpe, HP, and even MS Surface Laptop and Pro devices. I will stop buying surface docks now and use this as it is more compatible for our hot desks and management staff. Bought this for a work desk laptop, easily runs two widescreens, plus all the USB, speakers, mouse & keyboard needed. Far better getting something like this that has it's own power unit than the ones that don't. Replaced a J5 Create JCD381 I was using to drive 2 HDMI monitors which it did not do very well. The Dell 3100 does work very well - very quick and easy setup and the HDMI quality very good. I thought my laptop was too old for a docking station (circa 9 years) but no! PB pointed me in the right direction and its a totally awesome. 100% recommend.
