I run two of these at home and have run over sixty in an office environment, primarily as a way to link laptops to dual monitor setups with the Ethernet and with both wired and wireless keyboards and mice also leveraging the pass-through power. These are great, no hassle to set up, run reliably and give little grief unlike big brand docking stations at four times the price that needed specialist cables. Excellent value in my experience. I'm happy using a laptop. However when I am home I want to connect 2 external monitors, a keyboard, a mouse, a printer and USB's. This dock does all of this. I'm happy using a laptop. I wanted to run two monitors off my laptop and now I can. I had previously tried the HDMI splitter but that just gave me the same picture on both monitors, which was about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. The person I spoke to for advice was extremely helpful and organised my HDMI splitter refund. The price was steep, but not as steep as other docking stations. However I contacted the helpdesk asking why there was no powercord (or any cord) with the j5create and I didn't get any response (but it seems to work without one), hence the three stars. I only use a few of the ports, but it is 100% worth it. I like that I can come home and just attach my laptop and I can instantly use my keyboard, mouse and extra monitors. I also like that it can charge my laptop while it's connected, so I don't have to worry about connecting a charger every time (this doesn't affect the battery life any more than not having it constantly charging). The only thing that I would warn you about is the charger/power plug required to power this. If you also want to be able to charge your laptop while it's connected, you will need a 65W charger (the 45W that was originally recommended to me on the site, does not...view more I only use a few of the ports, but it is 100% worth it. Bought this docking station at the same time with my new Macbook Pro. After using it a few times, I noticed it drains the battery of my Macbook Pro. The battery went from 100% to 40% in less than 2 hours. The only thing I had connected was the TV with an HDMI cable and presented the clients some photos one the TV. For the rest, all the ports seem to work and there are no other issues. Bought this docking station at the same time with my new Macbook Pro.
