Apple MacBook Air 13" Laptop with M2 Chip - Space Grey

I bought this laptop for school the screen is excellent the performance is good and the trackpad and keyboard is one of the best I have ever used on a laptop. but the notch on top is dumb and looks stupid. the battery is 10000 times better than pretty much every windows laptop I have used. buy this over the m3 or m4 MacBook air because you will most likely not notice the preformace difference and that is the only difference. if you have an iPhone and Apple Watch the ecosystem feels like magic the iPhone mirroring function is a life changer when I am school and the fact that everything syncs is great. The macbook was a joy to use being a whole lot faster than our older model from 2016 and the screen is excellent to watch videos and movies on.
Unfortunately it is not very resilient as the gold paint is chipping off making it very ugly and the left shift and left option keys have come off.
The touchpad also feels slightly out of alignment.
Apple is not interested in this and the agent simply told us its within acceptable quality for them.
The kicker is that now the laptop says we are not eligible for some updates despite it only being a year old.... The macbook was a joy to use being a whole lot faster than our older model from 2016 and the screen is excellent to watch videos and movies on.

PB had the best price on the Macbook Air's by far and I've been tracking their prices across all retailers for at least 6 months. Ordering was easy and I had it ready for pickup on the same day. Negative was that it took a while for the staff to find it and when I got home Apple's setup was shockingly slow. I love this laptop. It is perfect for study or personally use. It is on the more affordable range of Mac's but is more than enough for casual use. I'd recommend looking at other models if you are planning on using for more advanced things. But overall great laptop and no issues what so ever. Would 100% recommend. I love this laptop. Bought as a replacement for a 2015 MacBook Air.
I like that it's smaller and lighter to carry, but the screen is still big enough for me.
I like that it still does everything my previous Air did, and the migration from old to new laptop was super easy.
I still haven't gotten used to the different shaped return key - my 2015 Air had one that was twice as tall, so I could just blindly aim in the general vicinity of the key and hit it. This one I have to have more of a precision aim. I expect I'll get used to it and stop hitting the \ key at some stage.

The macbook is working fine except our son cant install the programs he needs for his course. we had assumed it was a laptop like any other and it was highly recommended by the sales. so now we have an expensive but very nice looking laptop.
