I’m not a tech geek, so it was great to see that the advertising around the ease of installation was spot on. Great coverage and excellent additional tooling with parental controls etc. Overall really happy with the outcome and flexibility of the product. Would throughly recommend this product. We've used the TP-Link Deco M5 mesh for over 2 years so were familiar with the app and setup. We needed to upgrade as more of our devices run WiFi 6 AX protocol. Bought this Deco X55 and used the Ethernet wiring in the house as backhaul. Wow! Now getting >800 mpbs Internet speeed in most living spaces on newer phones. Used the spare M5 units to extend coverage to the granny flat and a spare room. Very fast and even the free version of the Homeshield app offers basic parental controls and network management. Has 3 Ethernet ports which us great. Only con is it could have 4 or more ports on one unit that us used as the master. I'm on Spark, and initially it wouldn't work when I plugged it into the wall thing and set PPPoE, user@spark etc. You also need to turn on VLAN under advanced settings in the app, and there is literally a NZ UFB option in there.

The TP-link Deco Wi-Fi mesh system exceeded expectations. The solution provides great Wi-Fi coverage of the whole house (242m3) outside as well. Very easy to set up and simple to manage. We have a large-ish house with plenty of brick and block construction, the wifi signal from our upstairs router was not getting through. Bought this system, set it up and now the deadspots are gone. I can stream in the garage and on the deck.

Honestly the hardest part was resetting Sonos to the new network, always a pain, but now it's on there it's working like it always should have. I'm not the best with tech but what attracted me to this was the ease of setting it up, we live in big house with so many deadspots and this solved the whole problem no lag and great speed

Ive needed Mesh system for a while, and after doing some reseach I went forth. Unfortunatley the one I wanted was out of stock but the helpful team at PB told me about this system and how much better it was. The units are amazing, took less than 5 mins to connect and now give me almost as much speed up and down on my wifi connection as it does on my CAT6 connection. I bought this 'TPLink X55 3 pack for my parents house as wifi did not reach the other end of the house. Even with an extender the signal/speed was lackluster to say the least (Buffer central). Setup through the TPLink app was intuitive and easy. Now their lounge gets 160mbps which is obviously more than enough to stream to their smart tv in 4k as well as running other devices I.e. phone etc at the same time. Such a relief that disgruntled conversations of poor wifi is no longer a part of my fathers conversation repertoire.
