These things are tiny, but man do they have a lot of built in functionality! They provide things like VPN, Traffic/Bandwidth control, etc ontop of all the things you would find on your standard WAP/router setup.

I haven't personally done it yet, but if you paired one of these bad boys up with an edgerouter you'd be golden. Was replacing an older AirPort time capsule this is certainly an upgrade. Great standalone or part of the Unifi system, love the ease of the PoE connectivity. This is a nice piece of kit. A bit fiddly to set up to start with, but once it's up and running, rock solid and performs well. Very good value for money. Usd only as a standalone as a bridged-wap. Was pretty simple setup (didn't use a controller), and has good coverage throughout the house.

Great performance and easy to set up. As a network engineer I always look for good APs for SME environments, but with Enterprise class management. This is a great fit! Works well, but severely lacking in documentation, so had to watch a few you tube videos and finally managed to get it working with our NanoStations using tips from all of them. Tip: turning off the management radio on the nanostations caused us grief as couldn't get back into the device and had to factory reset on them both and then my connection to this access point was lost, which then also had to be factory reset. My laptop was then never able to find this access point ever again even after me uninstalling and reinstalling the unifi software. We had to use a completely different laptop to setup the second time and got lucky. What a breeze... I have the edge router and in my 3 bedroom house, only 1 ap cover the whole place (not even properly installed, just laying in the desk). The only con is that having the edge router I have unms to control the router and the unifi console for the APs, hence, 2 things to look after. The device itself is a 5 stars. What a breeze... This has been the best addition to my home network. I'll never use a WiFi repeater again. The performance is amazing, especially for the price. Ubiquiti has definitely won me over as I know look into upgrading my router and other equipment to their products.

This works great! It is easy to setup, fast, good coverage and can connect many devices to WiFi. I have 32 devices connected without any issues. It also has good software to enable you to monitor and control your WiFi network. I would definitely recommend this. This works great! Had the older version at my home for a while, but wasn't happy with the speeds I was getting, especially after getting gigabit fiber.
so got all new ones to upgrade.
