I got it for a Pi clone I bought due to the shortages. I also got a couple of copper heatsync's. Made a HUGE difference to the running temp of the CPU. The Raspberry Pi 4b gets hot so I’d say this is essential. I set it to come on at 65 deg and this does the job nicely (worth adding the temp to your Pi OS home page to monitor it). The only issue is that this is the 5v fan so it will stay on whenever the Pi has power to it. There are a few work arounds however Inturn mine of at the mains so it’s not an issue. The heatsink is easy to install, the fan clips into the "Official" Pi case perfectly, and it's all good to go. The Pi turns the fan on and off when the temperature is getting high, all straight out of the box. The only downside is the whining noise the fan makes when it's running, but the fan only runs once in a while so it's acceptable. This fan is nice and quiet, and the extra pin for automatic control is a nice feature. The fan holes for screwing into aftermarket cases don't necessarily line up with other small form factor fans, making it hard to replace existing fans - but it is manageable This fan is nice and quiet, and the extra pin for automatic control is a nice feature.
