The Magewell Pro Capture HDMI 4K is a high-performance capture card designed for professionals who require reliable and high-quality video capture solutions. This PCIe Gen2 x4 card supports input resolutions up to 4096x2160 pixels, making it suitable for capturing ultra-high-definition content.

Input and Output Interfaces
The card features a single HDMI input interface, compatible with HDMI 1.4 and DVI-D 1.0 standards. This allows for versatile connectivity with various video sources. The host interface is PCIe Gen2 x4, ensuring high-speed data transfer and minimal latency during video capture.
Video Processing Capabilities
Equipped with a 10-bit video processing engine, the Pro Capture HDMI 4K offers advanced features such as deinterlacing, cropping, color adjustment, color space conversion, up/down conversion, aspect ratio conversion, and on-screen display (OSD) support. These capabilities provide users with extensive control over the captured video, allowing for high-quality output tailored to specific requirements.
Software Compatibility and APIs
The capture card is compatible with multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS. It supports various APIs such as DirectShow, DirectKS, Wave API/DirectSound/WASAPI for Windows; V4L2 and ALSA for Linux; and AVCaptureSession and AudioUnit for macOS. This broad compatibility ensures seamless integration with a wide range of software applications, including popular streaming and recording programs like OBS, vMix, and Wirecast.
Additional Features and Specifications
The Pro Capture HDMI 4K supports multiple capture streams, allowing for independent settings for cropping, aspect ratio, color format, resolution, frame rate, deinterlacing, and color adjustment for each stream. It also offers ultra-low latency support, with a latency of 64 video lines, and features a hardware-based 100ns high-resolution clock for precise timestamping and audio-video synchronization. The card's form factor is a low-profile PCIe x4 add-on card, measuring 92.76mm x 68.88mm without the PCI bracket.
