Excellent unit . At Fieldays this year with power fluctuations and possible total power cuts this unit was perfect to keep 3 x Desktops PCs running . Luckily didn't need to use it but nice to have the protection. Quality unit at a great price ! Excellent unit . Works well, quiet and supports a full tower case packed with a 4 disk RAID5 array. The software is easy to use and closes the PC down gracefully on a long power outage. I'm using this UPS with an iMac 27. My impression is that it has been a good choice. It has NZ-style power plugs, unlike some of the other UPSs around. We've had four or five power brown-outs during the gales of the past couple of weeks, and each time several other PCs and some electronic equipment has lost power, switched off or been reset, but the iMac and the networking gear powered through this UPS have kept running without a problem. Once the USB cable was connected to the iMac, OSX recognised the UPS and through the Energy Saver Preferences several automatic shutdown settings became available based on the UPS power remaining. This means you can set the iMac to shut itself down when UPS battery power gets down to 10 remaining, for example. An icon displays on the top bar showing the UPS status.
