Eaton 5E Tower UPS, 650VA / 360W, 2 ANZ Outlets, Line Interactive with Automatic Voltage Regulation, Fanless Version

Just bought this UPS to provide backup power for a small data cabinet with router, switch and a 2-drive Synology NAS. The Eaton 5E range is compatible with most Synology NAS unlike many generic-brand UPS. Synology NAS can be configured to turn off gracefully after a set time when there's a power cut if you connect a USB A/B cable to the UPS. Overall a good option for backing up a light load for enough time for a NAS or small server to shut down gracefully. Compatibility is good. Happy to recommend.

Purchased this unit to protect my computer gear from short term power outages and power urges. Works great. Worth the investment. Using it for a few minutes (lot more than that to be fair..) run time on a DVR in case of power cut.

Compact, cheap and seems work just fine. Bought it to back up router/fibre modem/telephone so it needed to be compact, inexpensive and not necessarily powerful for a few low powered devices.
The only downside, if any, was that the power sockets are too close together for plugging in those adaptor plugs that routers etc come with.

I bought this UPS with the intention of using it to power my ONT and Modem. But I tested on my desktop computer.
It works very well, but, It emits a very loud Beep every 10 seconds when in Battery Mode. This will be very frustrating if the power goes of at night.
The instruction sheet is very basic. It says that the nit has a USB Power Management Port but says nothing about how to unit or what it does!

During the recent storms, I lost power a couple of times to my home server that holds all my photos etc. I thought "eeeeep, if the drive is writing at time of power loss, slight chance I can lose stuff". So a UPS was the fix.
Might only give me 15mins run time (looking at current power draw etc), but its plenty to kick off a clean shutdown and save things properly.
Runtime will extend once I sort out whats plugged in :)

Small UPS is needed to keep some essential items running in case of power cuts (common in rural areas). It is used for router, Wifi, Voip, cordless phone, etc, to keep in touch with outside world (no mobile reception available except via mobile Wifi Calling). It beeps in an annoying way while discharging, which I guess is a useful warning. It also beeps for a couple of seconds when switching it on, which is unnecessary.
