PB Tech and the Māori Language Commission are excited to announce the launch of our te reo keyboard solution to make it as easy as possible to type in te reo Māori.
It comes with an integrated spell-checker and toggles seamlessly between a traditional QWERTY and te reo keyboard.
Designed in conjunction with the Māori Language Commission, our te reo keyboard will help increase the digital use of te reo to further the goal of securing its future as a living, dynamic, and rich language.
In line with this year’s theme of Kia Kaha Te Reo, we’re honoured to host a korero at our event on the intersection of te reo and technology to explore how they can help close the digital divide while breathing life into te reo.
Our esteemed panellists for this event are respected thought leaders in key areas of technology and the revitalisation of te reo. They are:
Ngahiwi Apanui – Te Taura Whiri i te reo Māori/The Māori Language Commission Chief Executive
Dan Walker – Microsoft Channel Sales Manager and Leader of Indigenous @ Microsoft NZ Chapter
Makaore Beaven-Wilson – Manaikalani Education Trust Kairuruku Reo Māori/Te Reo Māori Facilitator
