Join the PB Tech team and NetApp as we cover the licensing impacts from the Broadcom acquisition of VMWare while exploring alternate virtual infrastructures. There is also an opportunity to simulate various hands-on ransomware protection exercises.

Understanding your organisation's virtual framework and securing your organisation's data from ransomware attacks and other cybersecurity threats is paramount in this digital climate – that’s why we’re bringing you two specially designed workshops to bring your teams up to speed with our partner NetApp.

Attendees are welcome to join either or both workshops and stay for lunch before or after.

Please note that the ransomware workshop will require you to bring your laptops - you will be provided with a NetApp virtual environment to follow along in the workshop.

  • Workshop 1 - VMWare Advisory:
We discuss the licensing implications from the Broadcom acquisition of VMware and explore your options, their associated impacts and best practices for modernisation and adoption of potential alternative solutions.
- Understand and right-size your workloads for optimisation to reduce license output.
- Explore virtualisation technology alternatives and their advantages.
- Leverage toolsets such as Cloud Insights and RVTools for workload analysis, and map out operational efficiency.
 
  • Workshop 2 - Hands-On Ransomware:
A hands-on opportunity to tackle ransomware attacks and specific hacking scenarios. This workshop will equip IT decision-makers with the tools and expertise needed to secure their private data.
- Set up Data Security Defense and enhance the use of Snapshot Policy to mitigate future ransomware attacks.
- Learn how to configure Immutable Backups as a security defense measure.
- Undertake Data Forensics with Storage Workload Security.
