The j5create USB Type-C Multi-Adapter jca374 provides extra connectivity from your computer with 5Gb/s faster transfer speed. These pocket-sized Multi- adapters allow you to add an additional USB computer peripheral, HDMI Monitor or Gigabit LAN through you USB port.

USB Type-C is the new standard for connecting PCs and laptops and will eventually replace all current USB cables and connectors. Okay for USB, useless for HDMI

Bought this to use with my 2017 MacBook Pro and whilst it reads USBs fine, it's impossible to get a consistent HDMI connection (the main reason I purchased this adapter!). If you're in the same boat as me and need a reliable HDMI connection, I'd recommend getting an HDMI to USB-C cable, and a separate USB Type C to USB adapter.

Would not buy again

I have had nothing but issues with this dock and will be returning it. The HDMI port drops out continuously and even with a high voltage USB-C charger plugged into it, it does not charge my laptop consistently.

Purchased one to connect to HP spectre
No problems, although sometimes for the HDMI to work I have to plug it in after the HP is up and running. Use every port with no problems.

Purchased to connect 2nd monitor, keyboard & mouse to new 2017 MacBook Pro running Sierra 10.12.5. USB & HDMI connections were fine but it ethernet was not even registering. Thought the adapter was faulty so tried a second one with no luck. Returned and purchased a Kanex brand hub instead -this prompted a mac adaptor update and I was FINALLY able to connect with no problems.

HDMI + ETHERNET DOESN'T WORK

Brought this product today and the HDMI + ethernet cable doesn't work. My Ethernet to USB 3 adapter, then to USB C works faster and better then this..... going back for a refund tomorrow.

Returns & Warranty

7 day right of exchange

If you change your mind after making a purchase, or realise you have ordered the incorrect item, you can enjoy the peace of mind that we offer a 7 day exchange policy.

To exchange a product, goods must be sealed and unopened, with packaging in original condition, accompanied by a valid receipt dated no more than 7 calendar days from when you request an exchange. A 20% restocking fee may be applied where goods are not returned in sealed, original packaging condition.

If there is not a suitable product that can be exchanged for your returned item you will be offered a credit on your account or gift card based on the value paid at the time of purchase. Items purchased on finance cannot be exchanged for a gift card.

 

Hassle free warranty service

If your product develops a fault within the manufacturer warranty period, you can either contact the manufacturer directly (some manufacturers provide a high level of warranty service - including free pickup or in some cases onsite repair), or return to one of our services centres / stores. Where the product has been directly imported by PB Tech, you need to contact us directly or present the product at any one of our service centres / stores together with your proof of purchase.

If your product develops a fault outside of the manufacturer warranty or PB Tech warranty period, we offer a full repair service and are an authorised repair agent for leading brands such as Samsung, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo and more.
