The Shure MV7+-K Podcast XLR/USB Mic Bundle with Gator Desktop Stand, styled here in black, makes getting a professional podcast sound easier than ever. Like the original MV7, the MV7+ is a high-quality, broadcast-style dynamic microphone that delivers a clear and present sound and features both a conventional XLR connection and a USB port, allowing you to use it with audio interfaces, mixers, hard disk recorders, or direct to computers and mobile devices. But this updated "+" version adds several key features to improve your podcasting experience, including a customizable full-color LED touch panel with metering, improved DSP functions for better sound quality with less noise, 3 reverb options, a USB-C connector, and deep integration with Shure's MOTIV Mix software for complete control over a wide range of sound-sculpting parameters.
This configuration of the mic is bundled with an adjustable desktop stand from Gator that makes it easy to put the mic in an optimal position. The stand features an anti-skid base to the ensure the microphone stays in place.

Unidirectional Polar Pattern for the Untreated Room
The mic features a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern, which is the best natural defense against room noise: since the capsule mostly captures what's directly in front of it, you won't pick up as much room noise as you would with an omnidirectional mic. Depending on your particular room, you may still need a little room treatment, or use the mic's noise-reduction software, to address issues such as your computer's hum or your air conditioner-but the chances of that are markedly lower with a cardioid polar pattern.

On the USB side, the mic provides broadcast-quality specs and intuitive functionality.
