StarTech are not the cheapest, but somehow their (dull!) marketing and (thoughtful!) little product details give the impression that the engineers are in charge at StarTech, not the bean counters.

It gives me peace of mind, I guess. You wouldn't think there could be much to go wrong with a cable, so you might as well get the cheapest. I thought that once.

Now, I think that being able to rely on my displays working when I need them is worth the price difference. Not bad cable if you just need something to plug in and dont also have bluetooth devices next to it.
Have a blue tooth headset that is frequently disconnecting next to it since I plugged it in. Had it in for less then a day before changing back to berkin adapter instead. Not bad cable if you just need something to plug in and dont also have bluetooth devices next to it.
