Bought this to replace Promate 6-in-1 cable which broke after several months use. Unlike the thin plastic strips connecting the Micro-USB and Lightning connectors to the central USB-C one on the Promote, the Unitek has 3 separate braided cords. They should last much longer (I've only used for a few weeks now). And also enables charging multiple devices at once from one plug. I bought 3 of these cables for around the house, and use in my 2017 Audi A4 (USB-A) to connect my iPhone (15) and partners iPhone (13) to CarPlay. Whilst the iPhone 13 works great with the lightning connector for CarPlay, the USB-C does NOT work with the iPhone 15 for CarPlay (charging only). Otherwise these cables are great quality and ideal for multi-device connectivity. Charging of multiple devices is dependant on the capability of the USB power supply, multiple devices charging does make the cable warm! (probs not recommended!) After just 4 months of use, the lightning cable no longer charges my iphone. It pops up as charging on my iphone but the battery percentage never changes. I used a different cable with the same wall charger and it charged normally, hence securing this cables fate. Wouldn't recommend.
