Arlo SmartHub VMB4540 with USB Port for External HDD

I bought the hub to match the Arlo Ultra 2 cam connects simply with a one button pad approach and also easy to connect to house fibre wifi. I bought a 2TB external HDD too but the hub seems unable to format this for use on the Ultra system maybe it's the same with all external HDD so resorted to a 128GB USB thumb drive and that worked fine. All motion detected videos stored locally to the USB drive and able to access the videos (MP4 format)via smart phone Arlo app or web login. Good to be able to get hub without additional camera's so could utilise some now unused cameras at a different site.

A hub is highly recommended for Arlo security cameras for the reasons PB Tech outline in their product descriptor. Great product, easy to install and works a treat. Purchased this to bring all the cameras together and setup the way i like, easy to setup and get running.
I have been using this for a month now and went from a basic camera control setup to adding an external drive to capture the videos long term.
its a great product and just requires you to plug it in and jump on the app to add your devices
