For the high cost this is not a great product. While initially working really well the device stopped pairing within a month of purchasing it. What stuff can go wrong I do not understand how Eufy does not either provide an immediate replacement or a refund for its faulty product. PB Tech said that it was a vendor requirement to send back. Set up was easy. The day after I installed this we recorded a package being stolen.
Issues - doorbell wasn't heard - I moved the homebase to our kitchen to improve the audibility of the door bell (it was in the home-office prior) & to be sure I bought a 30 buck amazon echo dot to act as an extra doorbell speaker.. probably overkill.
- Motion detect kicked in late because the thief ran in from a blindspot - best to set up the doorbell so that it detects people approaching from a distance if possible

This is a good product for most people - consider whether it will do what you need it to do. For me it is good enough. I knew that a product was delivered and I had contacted someone to pick it up for me as I was out, but was too slow.

Had it for 3 days. Great video quality, good loud speaker and it doesn its job very well. Human detection works well and the Homebase and phones instantly responses when pressing the doorbell. There is a slight delay for about 3 seconds of video and audio transfer, but it is acceptable to me. Importantly, I am happy that I don't need to subscribe to use all functions, and makes me feel secured as it can also be used as a video camera to look outside whenever you want. Absolutely love it and highly recommend. Original retail price seems quite expensive, but it was in bargain during Black Friday. When person or courier walks up to the door it takes 5-8 seconds for notification to happen on phone or for base unit to ring. Then you need to open the app, click the notification vid, then click play, then wait another 2-3 seconds for 2 way connection to video doorbell so that you can speak to the person or courier. It's now 12-15 seconds and they have already walked away or run off with your package.

Even once you do get an active connection to the unit any 2 way communication is delayed several seconds each way so it's hard to talk to whoever is there. That's not ideal if you can't physically get to the door or if you are out at the time
My phone is fast Samsung S23 Ultra on 5g fast local wireless, so it is not the phone or network. My internet speeds also can't be blamed as they over 650 mbs download & 400 mbs upload, so is also very fast,
Also note, it is not properly wireless as advertised. The Homebase 2 unit must be hardwired to your router via supplied ethernet cable as it can't connect to it wirelessly. The 'wireless' is only from the doorbell to the Homebase 2 unit.
This was an issue for me because our router is in the garage. That means the door chime sound plays in the garage because that's where the hamebase it, so we can't hear the doorbell in the house and only way to hear it if your phone is with you and turned on (no good for early couriers if your phone is off, on silent or in another room).
The only way you can have Homebase in the lounge or dining etc is if you have wired ethernet in the house (who has that nowadays?) or if your router happens to be in your main living area.

We had to buy extra chimes at over $100 to put them elsewhere in house to hear doorbell. (But still big delays)

On the plus side the video is clear.

Package protection feature is great in theory. But by the time it notifies you it's been at least 5-8 seconds and the thief is already half way down the road. For me this was a waste of money even though it was on sale.
