The more recent software for these things makes set-up relatively stress free. It plays nice with the other sensors in the Tapo ecosystem. I like the data recording, works well. A breeze to add to both the TP-Link app, as well as directly to Apple HomeKit using the Matter protocol. The only downside is that the energy monitoring is not available through Apple Home, although that may be a limitation of Matter. Bought two, is currently my goto smart plug. Unlike others, it doesn't block the adjacent plugs on a double-outlet (looking at you WeMo, EVE, Hue)! Setting up the smart plug only took around 30 seconds, and it's been functioning smoothly ever since. Considering its price, I'd say this product is definitely a must-have!
