ONEX GX220 AIR Gaming Chair - Black Red

I bought this chair basically on a whim - long story short for its price point I have no regrets.

There are creaks, my elbow rests are misaligned for no good reason, but apart from that, it's aesthetically pleasing and relatively ergonomic.

A bit finnicky to set up, but nothing a few good swear words will sort.

The seat padding was stiff for the first ~2 weeks, but it's definitely got more give and is comfortable for long periods of time. The cushion by the neck is semi-adjustable and is good for handling the natural "gamer lean". The lower back cushion is a nice addition too.

I'm about 175cm tall, and have the chair on the lowest height setting. My feet touch the ground, no problem.

Compared to a lot of other chairs around that are far more expensive, if you're looking for something simple and comfortable, this is a really good option.

Bought Yesterday since last day of Labor weekend. Let my son assemble it but he struggle. It's quite difficult without help specially with the wheels and the upper body in which we have to push the metal connector just to reach the screw into the holes. Also am i the only one with the missing Spring Washers and Flat washers? to be exact it is missing with 3 Flat and 3 spring washers. I have to buy this from Repco and cost me 21 dollars cause you cannot buy in pieces. and they have only silver washers not black washers. What does PBtech do in case of missing parts . Pros:

Cons:
- First chair I ordered developed a crack in armrest without damaging/dropping it etc. PBTech was great at replacing it with another one
- But the second chair did not come with enough the screws and bolts for the armrest... I did not bother to return the second time because of too much hastle in packing and taking it to the store etc. I don't use the armrest much anyways (armrest seemed too tall)
- I am 168cm and using this for 8+ months. It is not a very comfortable chair. I have to get up and stretch a few times.
- Backrest hinge is noisy Usage - 8+ months

The chair however was missing 4 bolts for the arm rests, and one screw for the cover of the lean back hinge for one side. Which for a 300 odd dollar chair is pretty rubbish to happen.

The chair is overall uncomfortable: arm rests are too low offering no support whatsoever (i'm 176cm- average height), the bottom squab pitches slightly forward, non adjustable, so has no real leg support in fact it seems to want to push you out. The tilt tension doesn't noticeably work and it clunks.
The adjustable cushion thing is necessary- kinda feels like an afterthought- for what is basically a flat chair so without them it would be soooo bad.
Durable-even though it's a very heavy chair it moves easily and appears to be a pretty solid unit so little chance of breaking.

I gave it 2 stars as I don't think it will break easily but zero for good design and comfort- a case of "function sacrificed for art". If you want comfort there is better for less, if you want to impress then this is great and not a bad price by any means.

After about 3 months 1 armrest became wobbly, but not enough to warrant sending it back. Just after 12 months and the internal steel frame in the seat back failed. Another problem is the constant slant the chair has, i feel when i am sitting on it i always feels as though it is leaning forward and i have to hold on so I’m not falling off. You need someone to help you if you want to assemble this chair because doing it just by yourself will take you ages. I suggest starting from the base all the way up. For the wheels, just use force to push it inside the base. Try to wiggle and do small adjustments until the screw attached to the wheel gets locked inside. And for the most tricky part, the backrest, you can see that the sides are a bit far apart. It's normal. Just screw the bottom of the right side then screw the top of the left side. Use force to push the metal closer to the backrest so that u can screw it. then screw the rest, top of right then bottom of left. I was on the verge of returning this chair because I couldn't seem to attach the backrest since the metals on the sides where u have to attach the backrest are a bit afar, but turns out u just have to find a way and never give up. Follow my instructions above. And for the recliner, it won't work until you've attached the backrest. So don't panic if you can't adjust it yet. Just attach the backrest first and the recliner will work after. But it's worth the hassle, the chair is pretty comfy. Good luck!

It looks great but not very suitable for long sitting periods. The first few months was fine albeit took a little breaking in. But from then on the chair just started becoming an enemy. Very uncomfortable seat cushion, not very much padding to support your underside. Back support could've been better. Always feel like the seat is tilting me forward so I'm actively pushing back with my feet which causes swelling. Regretfully have to say I do not recommend this seat.
