AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D CPU

After looking around for awhile at upgrading from my Ryzen 5 3600 and trying to stick with the AM4 socket, I settled on this over the 5800x3d due to the understanding of it being basically the same thing but an under clocked version with slightly reduced heat output because of this, with only a 5-10% performance loss and at a cheaper price point. it seemed like the logical choice. Well worth the upgrade. Upgraded from a 3700x for gaming, at the time of purchase it was a much better value option than the 3800x3d, gains in max frame rate in most games is noticeably higher and the frame drops seem to no longer be an issue which was my biggest annoyance with the 3700x

Breathed new life into my rig - significantly reduced throttling (I had a ryzen 3) and the large bus significantly improved my frames from my 3060 12gb.

You get most of the performance of the 5800X3D with a decent discount. A great drop in upgrade for any of you still running the AM4 socket. Would be cautious into buying into AM4 right now, I'd be wary of doing so unless you can get a good deal on a motherboard.

Got a decent increase in FPS on Baldur's Gate III with a RX 6600 over the 5600G CPU I was running before. Can now push 200+ FPS on CS2 on higher (not ultra) settings at 1080p.

Doesn't run too hot - runs cooler than the 5600G, even in a cramped mini-ITX case with a Noctua NH-L12 Ghost edition. You get most of the performance of the 5800X3D with a decent discount. My old system consisted of the ryzen 5 3600 and rx 570 4gb, playing cs2 4:3 with mid-low settings I was getting about 100fps but with micro stutters.
The 5700x3D gives me about 160+, sometimes 200+ depending on map but, with no stutters and is butter smooth. Bought this cpu a few weeks ago, highly recommend it, absolutely destroyed the minecraft tnt test with ease, I also set render distance to 64, runs very smooth even with the 1050ti it's currently running but will upgrade gpu shortly.
runs other games that need to render highly detailed assets with easy.
