Got this running at 4600GHz across all 8 cores no worries. Bought this month to upgrade my ryzen 7 1700. The performance compared to my old cpu was night and day. If you plan to buy this, you’ll need a capable heatsink. Even on my custom loop, temps range from 75-85c during cinebench r23 all core run. Out of the box settings, the cpu will boost up to 4.85ghz and will start reducing clock speed if temp reaches 85c>. +200mhz max boost clock in pbo and negative curve optimiser increased the boost clock up to 5.015ghz. Handles everything thrown at it and more, in a 3D Mark Benchmark it Scores 11k while my Sapphire Nitro+ RX5700XT BE only scored 10k. I'm only using a Corsair Hydro Series H55 cooler too. Upgraded from a r5 2600 to this and it was a worthwhile upgrade! With more cores and more threads with also a much better IPC, makes this cpu such a good buy. This product is something that I've been looking forward to getting for a while now. I was happy to see that pb tech had the product in stock and at a great price, which was not the case for other sites. It runs everything smoothly and seems to be fairly future proof. One of the only problems is that it doesn't come with a cpu cooler unlike the 3000 series, but I supppose this was to make it affordable so it's not too much of an inconvenience. I was also happy with the ease of getting the added promotion game because of pb tech's easy way to claim my product. This thing is a powerhouse and I have had no problems at all. only reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5 star is that there is no cooler included. Guess if you are at this level people generally have or buy something more powerful than stock for cooling. Fantastic all round performance cpu. Simple to undervolt which allowed me to reduce cpu temps which made running it on air simple and quiet. Only downside is that it has a pricey MSRP relative to last gen 8 core cpu's but that is not PBTechs fault. Fantastic all round performance cpu.
