Intel Core i5 12600KF CPU

This is a really good price for what is currently a top-tier CPU. I bought it mostly for strategy games and sometimes they even get a little too fast. It is more than enough for basically all purposes I have.

Was weighing between the i5 and i7 before I settled here. So far, so good, The cpu temps are stable although I have yet to try overclocking. Installation was smooth and painless. For my new build i went with this Little BEAST of a CPU, it has all the cores a gamer would want (6p cores) and (4e cores) for anyting else that you have got running in the background etc.. baseclock speed is decent at 3.69Ghz(3.7Ghz on paper) will boost upto 4.6Ghz on load. Originally i was going to get the i7-12700kf... but after many many hours of research i found out most games wont be using all those 8 Performance cores, unless video editing is your job.

For the cooler i went with Noctua D15 because of how quiet the fans are and the cooling is one of top for air cooling. AIO are good but some fans are noisy.

I just upgraded from an i7-3820 to this i5-12600KF and the difference in speed is incredible. I didn't expect it to be this fast. Paired with an EVGA RTX3070Ti FTW3 I can run MS Flight Simulator on max graphics at 1080p/60fps or high graphics at 4K/60fps. It's a beast. This CPU is fast for the price and does the job for me. I made a bit of a mistake and went with the KF variant so had to get a dedicated GPU but that was buyer error, nothing to do with product or PB Tech.
