If you haven’t touched any buttons in that time, it will shut itself down. This seems to completely defeat the purpose of having a hose attachment for “continuous operation”. It’s only continues for 24 hours. This moronic feature loses the product at least one star in my estimation. Net result ... dehumidifier is not suitable for keeping an house or space dry when no one is around every day to interact with the dehumidifier. Which was what I needed it for.

If you don’t require continuous operation, then I’d say go for this Panasonic option (either s 17L or 27L, depending on your requirements). Good price. Good features. Good deals on PB Tech.

If you do require true continuous operation, then the Mitsubishi Oasis range is the way to go. It will, however, cost a bit more.

Bought this to replace an older dehumidifier. Fantastic performance from the new unit, and relatively quiet too (which was an important feature for us).
