Bought this as I had a spare 256gb Nvme drive laying around and needed a fast USB drive.
This solved my issue, transferring data 150gb files across 2 pcs has been a blast with this enclosure now.

Had an M.2 NVMe SSD from a dead laptop that we wanted to use in this, but while the drive worked elsewhere, it would not work in this at all. Make sure you check compatibility, as it might not work with some (newer?) SSDs. Purchased today. Dont have PB in my home town. Had to take a other product back and purchased this while there. Once i got home and put my new M.2 in went to close it all up and screw missing for the small plastic that secures the M.2 and its mounting board. Disappointed with it. Going to try get this returned somehow but not driving all the way back. More likely to get the Rog strix enclosure instead Purchased today. Dont have PB in my home town. This ssd enclosure runs almost too hot to touch after using as a Timemachine backup drive under Mac OS - heat dissipates quickly after disconnecting but will definitely shorten the life of any SSD unless some venting is added.

This is a great housing unit which adds to a catalogue of storage options. It's very fast and convenient, and useful for any spare NVMe SSD's lying around.
Having used the unit for a month, the downside is that the unit gets very hot, Just about too hot to handle so be careful, but in the right environment a very useful addition to storage options. I actually asked staff for a recommendation and this was what they suggested. It's exactly what I wanted and works great. It was delivered in perfect time as well. Bit expensive but it’ll last years. might drill a few vent holes.

Used my SSD with the adaptor, it wouldn't show up, I plug it in internally and all my files are corrupted and now I've gotta pay for data recovery. Don't use this.
