Orico Transparent M.2 NVME USB-C SSD Enclosure - Black USB3.1 Gen.2

I bought this as part of my laptop SSD upgrade. It enabled me to clone my existing drive, and use the old one as an external SSD. I've used this quite a bit over the last six months. The enclosure looks good, and the SSD is secure inside it with a single screw, but the enclosure just opens with a slide action so could potentially open in a bag or similar. When in use, it does get very hot, and there is a bright flashing blue LED as a use indicator. I bought this as part of my laptop SSD upgrade. I bought one of these a few months ago and when I needed another external NVME case, this was just way too much of an easy choice. I now have a silver one and the black one. I think I prefer the silver heatsink version. Excellent enclosure for a great price. I peered this enclosure with a Samsung 980 1TB NVMe PCIe 3.0 M.2 SSD and am very happy with it. Able to copy 20Gb in approximately 10s, which is ample for my purposes.

Case is not the sturdiest and the top can easily slide off. Would be better if it could be fastened with a screw. Excellent enclosure for a great price. I peered this enclosure with a Samsung 980 1TB NVMe PCIe 3.0 M.2 SSD and am very happy with it. Able to copy 20Gb in approximately 10s, which is ample for my purposes.

I used this to upgrade a Dell PC from the original M.2 SSD to a much faster Samsung NVMe. The PC has only a single M.2 slot, this external enclosure solved that. The USB 3.1 speed really helps with the cloning process. Tool-less design helps with quick removal... Actually there is ONE screw to clamp the SSD down. This enclosure also has a heatsink integrated, NVMe's can get quite hot. Good value product, but mostly plastic. This is a standard NVMe socket which most will want and it is really so simple to use. NVMe drives are expensive so being easy to use so as not to damage it is important.
