Desperately seeking a replacement monitor for my computer due to the previous one dying on me, this dell monitor offers a fantastic visual display and has easy to use control options to adjust brightness, contrast and RGB light. Very affordable too, so students like myself are able to continue studying without spending large amounts of money. Bought two of these, one was in decent condition but the other has a wide scratch on the base that was covered up by the PB tech item sticker and the inner rim of the screen has what looks like food/unidentified goop in it, I got most of it out though.
Looks like it's a lucky dip in terms of how well the previous owner treated each monitor. If we are talking cs:go terminology, this A grade condition is some where along the line of field tested to minimal wear. My model arrived in good working order, screen only had a very minor nick about 2x2 pixels wide. Barely noticeable so no big deal since this will be used as a secondary portrait display. What I don't understand was why no one bothered to wipe the base stand. Legit took me 20 seconds with a wet tissue paper to clean it off. Given the second hand market for these kinds of monitors are in the $100-150 range I think my purchase is fair. While it only costs PB Tech $12.08 to ship in a big box, I am struggling to justify the huge cost of returning this for anything remotely close to this, I had messaged PBTECH and explained the screen arrived essentially DOA out of the box and I was fine to send them pictures etc. They have insisted I need to return it via the RMA process, which is fair, but the cost to do so has me pretty much weighing up if it's worth the huge postage cost and risk of them not honoring the return claim. I think I will cut my losses and never purchase an ex lease item again or any large item from PB tech due to this.
