I bought this for my PC which was kind of running low on storage. I felt like having another drive for more storage would be nice. This is a cheap drive and works perfectly, it's fast and runs well. I bought this SSD to install and run my OS on mainly, and also to get some extra storage space in my SFF HTPC (HP 8300 Elite). Running Windows 10 on the 1TB hard drive was driving me nuts (too slow and noisy). I ended up installing Manjaro Linux on this SSD instead (I'm really a Linux guy anyway) and it runs perfectly (and quietly). For the price the performance is excellent. My computer was running slow after years of service. So I invested in a tray and a SSD. The clean install went smooth and the PC is back after 1/2 day of installing.
