Does exactly what it says. Amazing how compact it is. Nice and fast, I use it to play games from even (like BG3) and works perfectly fine.

It is astounding to me that such a small device can have so much storage capacity. As someone who travels a lot for work this portable SSD allows me to take the entire contents of my NAS box with me and also have a fast back-up device while working away. The drive comes unformatted so you can format it to suit your needs. The read/write speed is super fast if using USB3 Gen 2x2 or later but still sufficiently fast using earlier versions of the USB protocol. The device comes with a short USB C to USB C cable but you may want to consider buying a USB A to USB C cable if you want to use the drive with older computers or NAS boxes. I consider the price I paid for 2 TB of portable storage to be excellent value for money. PB Tech's online ordering system is easy to follow and my order was processed in a very timely manner. Overall, I am very happy with the Kingston 2 TB SSD and can recommend it to others.

I guess I was used to some fast transfer tech but this is like something else altogether!
It look literally seconds to copy a 500MB file from this SSD to my iPad Pro & by that I mean it was basically instantaneous.

It seemed a bargain for 2TB and speeds of 2,000MB/s, but it can't do that on my setup unfortunately. It's still a good price for 2TB @ 1,000MB/s, but I was expecting double that speed. There's so many USB generations that I got my research wrong and my 2018 MBP will only give me half the speed it's capable of - even though on TB3 I can get 2,000MB/s on other SSD drives. Now I've looked into it further it looks like to get 2,000MB/s you need one of a few specific motherboards or a PCI-e card. Do your research better than me and make 100% sure your system has USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 support if you want/need this to run at 2,000MB/s

It is still a good and competitive price for an SSD that will do 1,000MB/s so don't write it off because your system supports slower USB speeds, but compare apples with apples @ 1,000MB/s
